Meer dan dertig jaar geleden werd Dana Bourgeois door een grote Amerikaanse fabrikant in de arm genomen om een gitaar te ontwerpen met het formaat tussen de OM en Dreadnought in. Het resultaat, dat later de Jumbo OM werd genoemd, werd eind jaren tachtig als prototype getoond en op grote schaal tentoongesteld, hoewel het pas een paar jaar werd geproduceerd, tot de oprichting van Bourgeois Guitars.
De J-OM heeft een 25.5 inch mensuur en beschikt over het grootste bodyformaat in de reeks 0//00/000-OM/J-OM. De gitaar heeft hetzelfde profiel als een Grand Auditorium, maar heeft door de diepere klankkast de inhoud die een Dreadnought benadert. De J-OM beschikt hierdoor over voldoende dynamiek en volume om elk speel- en muziekstijl aan te kunnen.
Deze J-OM is vervaardigd uit een combinatie van schitterende materialen. Zo bestaat de klankkast uit prachtig getekend cocobolo, en is het bovenblad van strak generfd Carpathian sparren. Voor de binding van zowel de body als hals heeft Bourgeois gekozen voor prachtig gevlamd Koa, terwijl de kenmerkende Dana Bourgeois Signature herringbone purfling het bovenblad siert.
Ook op het gebied van detaillering is het met deze Bourgeois rijkelijk voorzien van de mooiste houtsoorten en patronen; op de headstock prijkt een kopplaat van ziricote, terwijl de achterzijde van de body is voorzien van een prachtige backstrip. De goudkleurige Waverly stemmechanieken met Snakewood knoppen maken het plaatje helemaal compleet!
Deze Bourgeois wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van TKL.
More than thirty years ago, Dana Bourgeois was hired by a major American manufacturer to design a guitar with a size between the OM and Dreadnought. The result, later named the Jumbo OM, was prototyped and widely exhibited in the late 1980s, although it was only produced for a few years, until the founding of Bourgeois Guitars.
The J-OM has a 25.5 inch scale and has the largest body size in the 0//00/000-OM/J-OM series. The guitar has the same profile as a Grand Auditorium, but has the volume approaching a Dreadnought due to the deeper sound box. The J-OM therefore has sufficient dynamics and volume to handle any playing and music style.
This J-OM is made from a combination of beautiful materials. The sound box consists of beautifully drawn cocobolo, and the top is made of tightly grained Carpathian spruce. Bourgeois has chosen beautifully flamed Koa for the binding of both the body and neck, while the characteristic Dana Bourgeois Signature herringbone purfling adorns the top.
This Bourgeois is also richly equipped with the most beautiful wood types and patterns in terms of detailing; The headstock features a ziricote headstock, while the rear of the body features a beautiful backstrip. The gold-colored Waverly tuners with Snakewood buttons complete the picture!
This Bourgeois comes with TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.
Vor mehr als dreißig Jahren wurde Dana Bourgeois von einem großen amerikanischen Hersteller beauftragt, eine Gitarre in einer Größe zwischen OM und Dreadnought zu entwerfen. Der J-OM verfügt daher über ausreichend Dynamik und Lautstärke, um jedem Spiel- und Musikstil gerecht zu werden.
Dieser J-OM ist aus einer Kombination wunderschöner Materialien gefertigt. Der Resonanzkörper besteht aus wunderschön gezeichnetem Cocobolo, die Decke aus dicht gemaserter Karpatenfichte. Bourgeois hat sich für die Einfassung von Korpus und Hals für wunderschön geflammtes Koa entschieden, während die charakteristische Dana Bourgeois Signature-Fischgräteneinlage die Decke ziert.
Auch in Sachen Detaillierung ist dieser Bourgeois reichhaltig mit den schönsten Holzarten und Mustern ausgestattet; Die Kopfplatte verfügt über eine Kopfplatte aus Ziricote, während die Rückseite des Korpus über eine schöne Rückenleiste verfügt. Die goldfarbenen Waverly-Mechaniken mit Snakewood-Knöpfen runden das Bild ab!
Dieser Bourgeois wird mit TFOA-Pass in einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
