In 2016 richtte Mattia Franchin Franchin Guitars op, een project geboren uit de mix van zijn twee grote passies, kunst en muziek. Hij heeft zelf een artistieke opleiding gevolgd, en omringde zich al snel met een team van kunstenaars van de Academy of the Fine Arts van Venetië, evenals met technische gitaarbouwers.

Alle gitaren worden in Italië gemaakt met een selectie van de best en meest resonerende houtsoorten die beschikbaar zijn. Het hele afwerkingsproces wordt uitgevoerd in hun laboratorium in Monticello Conte Otto, nabij Vicenza, Italië. Elk stuk is uniek, gebouwd met geselecteerde materialen en doorloopt een verfijnd en zorgvuldig gedetailleerd bouwproces.

Neptune is het offset-model van Franchin, en de gitaar trekt meteen de aandacht met zijn overtuigende relic. Als je nog beter kijkt, zie je mooie details zoals de kleine abalone stip toets-inleg en het handgeschreven serienummer achterop de headstock. En het is niet alleen het uiterlijk; de bespeelbaarheid van de esdoorn hals met palissander toets is even comfortabel als gemakkelijk, waardoor dit een waar genot is om te spelen!

Met de sound zit het tenslotte ook meer dan goed, want wat is nou een mooie gitaar zonder mooi geluid? Het team van Franchin maakt zijn pickups helemaal zelf, en deze Neptune is dan ook uitgerust met een set handgewonden P90's met een fantastische sound!

In 2016, Mattia Franchin founded Franchin Guitars, a project born from the mix of his two great passions, art and music. Educated artistically himself, he soon surrounded himself with a team of artists from Venice's Academy of the Fine Arts, as well as technical luthiers.

All guitars are made in Italy with a selection of the best and most resonant woods available. The entire finishing process is carried out in their laboratory in Monticello Conte Otto, near Vicenza, Italy. Each piece is unique, built with selected materials and goes through a refined and carefully detailed construction process.

Neptune is Franchin's offset model, and the guitar immediately grabs attention with its convincing relic. If you look even closer, you can see beautiful details like the small abalone dot fingerboard inlay and the handwritten serial number on the back of the headstock. And it's not just the looks; the playability of the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is as comfortable as it is easy, making this a real pleasure to play!

Finally, the sound is also more than fine, because what is a beautiful guitar without a beautiful sound? The team at Franchin makes its pickups entirely in-house, and this Neptune is therefore equipped with a set of hand-wound P90s with a fantastic sound!

Jedes Stück ist ein Unikat, das mit ausgewählten Materialien gebaut wird und einen raffinierten und sorgfältig ausgearbeiteten Konstruktionsprozess durchläuft.

Neptune ist das Offset-Modell von Franchin, und die Gitarre zieht mit ihrem überzeugenden Relikt sofort die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Wenn man noch genauer hinsieht, kann man schöne Details wie die kleine Abalone-Dot-Griffbretteinlage und die handgeschriebene Seriennummer auf der Rückseite der Kopfplatte entdecken. Und es ist nicht nur das Aussehen; die Bespielbarkeit des Ahornhalses mit Palisandergriffbrett ist ebenso komfortabel wie einfach und macht das Spielen zu einem echten Vergnügen!

Und schließlich ist auch der Klang mehr als gut, denn was ist eine schöne Gitarre ohne einen schönen Klang? Das Team von Franchin stellt seine Tonabnehmer komplett selbst her, und so ist diese Neptune mit einem Satz handgewickelter P90er ausgestattet, die einen fantastischen Klang haben!
